Why You’ll Love This Caramel Fireball Apple Cider
From chilly fall gatherings to New Year’s Eve parties or simply snuggling up on the couch with a good book on a cold snowy January night, this Caramel Fireball Apple Cider is sure to get you warmed up.
This cocktail recipe is easy to make by the glass or you can mix it up as a spiked cider you can pour by the glass when you are ready.
Groceries Needed
- Fireball Whiskey – This is a brand name cinnamon flavored whiskey (not sponsored), but there are other cinnamon whiskeys on the market that will work just as well.
- Caramel sundae syrup – Feel free to use your favorite brand. I’ve used Smuckers but I’ve also used Ghiradelli Caramel for an even more decadent caramel flavor.
- Apple cider – Again, your favorite brand is perfect. If you want to be adventurous and make your own, here is a fun tutorial on how to make an Easy Old Fashioned Apple Cider.
- Cranberry juice – I used a cranberry juice cocktail this time because that’s what I had on hand. If you can use pure cranberry juice, the flavors are even better.
How to Make this Fireball and Apple Cider Cocktail
Fill your favorite whiskey glass halfway with ice. You can dress this up a bit by using a unique ice shape to fit the occasion or stick with whatever ice you have on hand.
Add in your fireball whiskey.
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the ice. This will thicken it as if you had put it onto ice cream.
Add in your apple cider and cranberry juice.
Stir lightly, garnish with a slice of fresh apple, and serve cold.
Suggestions for Putting a Twist on It
If you want lighter caramel flavor, try finding caramel syrup in the coffee section designed to make iced coffees.
Garnish this with an apple slice soaked with lemon water to prevent browning, an apple slice on a skewer with a fresh cranberry, or a cinnamon stick to give it some flare.
Try leaving out the ice and serving this with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a fun treat worthy of the dessert table any time of year or top with this homemade cinnamon whipped cream that is sure to add a bit of spice.

How To Make This Spiked Cider Ahead Of Time
If you are serving this at a get-together for a party or just really enjoy the flavors and want to have some on hand, you can mix it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
For this one multiply the ingredients by the number of servings you want and swap the ice cream topping for a caramel syrup designed for making iced coffee. Leave out the ice and place everything else into a bottle or jar with a lid and shake gently. When you are ready to serve simply pour it into a glass of ice.
Absolutely! Simply put all the ingredients (except the fireball) into a pot. Warm on the stove over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from the heat and then pour into a mug and add the cinnamon whiskey. Stir and enjoy!
Fireball Apple Cider Cocktail
Cinnamon flavors mixed with fresh apple, cranberry, and caramel make this drink perfect on a cold winter night by the fire!
Ingredients
- ● 1.5 oz Fireball Whiskey
- ● Drizzle of caramel sundae syrup
- ● 4 oz apple cider
- ● 4 oz cranberry juice
Instructions
- Fill a short cocktail glass with ice.
- Add the cinnamon whiskey.
- Squeeze in the caramel sauce, as much as you'd like. I like to put in about ½ a tablespoon or so.
- Add the chilled apple cider.
- Add the cranberry juice. Stir, and enjoy!
Notes
Garnish this with an apple slice soaked with lemon water to prevent browning, an apple slice on a skewer with a fresh cranberry, or a cinnamon stick to give it some flare.
Be sure to shake the container of apple cider before pouring it. Sometimes there is sediment that's from the apples (undetectable in the drink) that adds a lot of apple flavor to the cocktail.
Chilling the glasses beforehand is a nice touch to the drink and helps keep it cold.
Try rimming the glass with granulated sugar (or brown sugar!) for a festive flare.
