Air fryer toaster strudels are a game-changer, my friend! If you’ve ever struggled with those frustrating hot-and-cold bites from the toaster or microwave, you know what I mean.
They’re such a fun, grab-and-go breakfast, but the uneven heating can totally ruin the experience. Luckily, the air fryer is here to save the day, giving you that perfect, even heat and the soft, flaky texture you really want.

Learn To Air Fry Toaster Strudel
Seriously, making toaster strudels in the air fryer is the way to go. It’s the perfect way to turn this freezer favorite into a sweet dessert or breakfast treat. Once you try it, the toaster and microwave won’t even be an option anymore!
Now if I’m being honest, I’ve made all kinds of ‘handpies’ per se, and if I’m not baking them from scratch, these toaster strudels are my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, air fryer pop tarts are great but these are better. However, you can’t beat air fryer homemade pop tarts! Yuuuum!! If you haven’t tried making them, please do, they’re great as a breakfast or a dessert anytime. And I mean………. anytime.
How to Make Toaster Strudels in the Air Fryer
Step 1: Preheat the basket and get the strudels ready.

Step 2: Place your toaster strudels in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Step 3: Air fry the pastries until they are evenly heated and the pastry is puffed up.
Step 4: Remove and drizzle with icing right away for the perfect melty spread. You can skip this step for toaster strudel scramble flavors.

Recipe Tips
- Preheating the air fryer is something I do all the time for these toaster strudels. Because they are starting out frozen, I like to make sure they go into a warmer basket because you’ll get more even air frying when the machine doesn’t have to start from cold with a frozen product.
- If you use an air fryer liner (which I do when I have them on hand), remember to preheat the oven WITHOUT the liner inside the basket. They will fly around in there and could cause an issue with your machine. Simply place the liner down and then the studels on top of them after preheating.
- Remember to use tongs to remove them because they’ll be pretty toasty when finishing air frying!
- Sometimes I air fryer thawed toaster strudels and in that case, I don’t preheat the basket and I cook them for 3 minutes.

Serving
When I make toaster strudels in the air fryer, I like to use the air fryer to make other things that pair well with them. So for instance, for a breakfast protein, I will make Air Fryer Turkey Bacon, Air Fryer Sausage Patties, or Air Fryer Breakfast Sausages. The air fryer is already dirty so why wash a skillet when you can just make these? I recommend making the pastries at the end of cooking the proteins so they are still warm and toasty!
You can also pair the sweet toaster strudel pastries with ice cream or whipped topping for a fun dessert or snack.
For savory toaster scramble flavors, you can serve these at brunch, pack for lunch, or pair them with some fresh fruit or a smoothie for a quick and easy on-the-go breakfast.
